Scott,

A friend who is not registered on the message board saw this and asked me to pass this on:

Scott Koen put up a couple of shots of wing parts.  P/N NLC6031-47

DC-10 / KC-10 horizontal stabs have a bunch of NLC6031 dash numbers, but not -47, which may be a  sub to something else.

The serial number 48209 may be the construction number...if it is...then the part may be related to USAF KC-10 79-1949, which is still flying...

Lots of NLC603X part numbers on the DC-10.

Pass this to Scott K if you are in touch with him.

Respectfully,

Dan D.

Thanks, and thanks to your friend. By looking up pictures of the rear stabilizer I was able to find the exact match. Its the leading edge. I bought it as scrap surplus from Ft. Dix which does have KC-10s. I have cut it up and I am going to make a bar out of it
