From the Missing Plane Data Base:

12 Apr 1953

USAF T11

43-37572

1

WA

Enroute from Redmond, OR to Eugene, OR. The pilot was last heard from when he reported over The Dalles & was headed W thru the Columbia River Gorge toward Portland.

A search conducted by CAP failed to find the aircraft & was suspended 20 April. On 20 Oct 1953, wreckage that was spotted near Glenwood, WA was investigated & found to be the previously found crash site of a B25 from WWII.

The wreckage was found by a hunter at the 3500 ft level of a mountain 6 NE Carson & 3 NW Willard, WA. An USAF helicopter inserted a ground team that confirmed the wreckage.

Pilot CPT Robert C. Blucher. WAANG.

Training

25 Oct 1953
