I found the crash site pics on FB.
The guy who took the pic was Darwin local and guy who post it on FB lives and works at Panamint Springs in Death Valley.

The crash site is at Rainbow Canyon AKA "Star Wars Canyon".
According to the FB pic, the mishap F/A-18E head crashed into the wall just below the mesa.
It is only 0.3 mile from Farther Crawley point and just below the dart road over the edge of the mesa where normally many visitors take a pics.

According to FB photo and Google Earth comparison, the crash site is around  36°21'15.04"N 117°32'45.90"W
