I have been volunteering at the Travis AFB Museum for many years now. This is the first time that I've been there when they cut up an aircraft. It was T-39A  serial number 60-3483
Picture of it in better days and now what remains. It was destroyed because we have another T-39 in better condition and we could not keep two.  I'm looking for any pictures of it when it was in service.  It had a very long service history attached. Sad ending to a veteran.

Is that part of an F-111 next to it on the one "cut up" picture?  Dennis

All parts are from the T-39 
the part in front of the cockpit is the tail section cut up into pieces
I got the nose bay open , only to discover it was empty of all electronics
