A friend in Santa Barbara sent me this photo of an engine pulled from the sea. Brine Cured Engine.JPG 

There it is, the centerpiece of a soiree and nobody is interested in it.  Except us!

Who can identify this power plant and suggest what kind of aircraft it was on?
