Could it be those prop pitch levers below the throttles on the center column?

Some more wreckage for identification would like your help. Some of the green relics are painted a darker green than others which leads me to think the parts are from different aircraft. Thanks Dennis

The round object with the letting including "Gyro Day", "Gyro Night" and "Selector Dimmer" appears to be the Selector Dimmer control for a gunner's Mk-18 gunsight. The document I found referencing it is for a US aircraft, I don't know if British aircraft used them.https://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USN/ref/AirGunnery/MARK18GS.html The paint color on some of the structure members does look "Lanc-ish"... http://www.aussiemodeller.com.au/pages/History/Aircraft/D-Hol_LancasterP1.html Walt

I think the object labeled #2 is a fuel tank cap from the top of the wing

The object labeled #4 looks like a magneto switch. You have two #17's, the lower one is a faring for a possible antenna and a shot of #12 from the front, would be helpful.

Thanks for the replies most helpful. I think I should post the aircraft plates that came with the relics Plate 1, Halifax bomber Serial No. 7498B1 ISS4 D & B/FM/07227 (D & B 98) Plate 2, Lancaster resistance unit Type 52 Ref No. IOC/2?96 Plate 3, Spitfire engine oil cooler plate Drawing-N IDD081 30 Test pressure 70 LBS Serial No. JM/P/78811, Plate 4, Stirling bomber Serial No. SH4?555 Origin No. 1290001 Date 1SS11. It makes sense that item 9 is a Spitfire fuel wobble pump if it matches plate 3, also among the relics are three rounds of ammo (item 22) two 303 and one 20mm, the 20mm is probably Spitfire ammo? And the American connection could be seen in item 21 part of a dial made by the US electrics company Westinghouse. Dennis

The mystery deepens I took some pictures of what I thought was parts of a Lancaster engine casing, and two names are on the pieces, part 23 reads "BOHNAUTE 6006" when I searched the internet the name came up for BSA/Norton/Triumph motorcycles, the other name is on part 26 "Acme 602181" did either company make aircraft parts during the war? And the American Rockwell item part 29 I found, was it installed in US or British aircraft? Dennis

Some more US parts in the relics, there are four aircraft instrument dials all from a jet I presume? Item 1, is a airspeed dial reading 0-700 mph (some of the inscriptions on dial not clear or missing) AF US ARMY YPB? F or P? airspeed MPH, item 2 altimeter 0-40,000 feet, top of dial incomplete name ??pec?? bottom of dial REF N- ?D/243, center of dial ALT Serial No , THOUSANDS FEET, item 3, turn indicator 0-35 (some of the inscriptions on dial not clear or missing) 3/40, REF NO. ?/579, item 4 accelerator g unit no markings. All the performance on the dials are beyond a Lancaster any any other aircraft of WW2, so the dials must be from post-war aircraft. Dennis

#1 might be a P-51 airspeed indicator. That March 30 1944 raid on Nuremberg, they lost 106 bombers!??? Did they tell you which Lanc this might be? Earlier photos -- #14, looks like a servo valve. Does it have a plunger in the center? Could be anything from guns, turret, engine start? #11 -- aluminum plumbing -- fuel, hyd. Twine could be from a canteen cork or something like that. Thought maybe the geared round part was a vane type nose fuse for a bomb but it is probably an instrument. Sure is a great mish mash of parts! Chris B.http://www.arizonawrecks.com

That T-handle thing is driving me crazy! I bet it is a bomb release or jettison of some kind. Looks like it had a cable on the end of it. Is there a thumb hold so you can turn it? Gotta be a yank and forget thing. ???? Chris B.
