Admission for the two-day event is $60.00 which covers the cost of the meeting room, audio visual equipment, and morning and afternoon snacks. Payment can be made by sending PayPal Payment to aair@AviationArchaeology.com (or you can use the PayPal button on AAIR’s website at http://www.aviationarchaeology.com/src/reports.htm#ORD ), enter $60.00 for amount and in the notes enter “2012 Aviation Archaeology Conference.” PayPal is the only way we can accept credit cards. Due to stringent Air Force security policy, AAHA has to have everyone attending this conference registered for admittance by 5:00 pm (PDT), April 20, 2012. This means you can’t show at the gate and pay at the last minute. You will also need to provide your date of birth when you register as part of the security procedures.
(Note that if you are a foreign national, your meeting registration information must be submitted 60 days in advance.)
There are a number of lodging options located within a short distance of the conference center. However, special discount rates have been reserved for this event through two places.
The first is Nellis Suites at Main Gate, http://nellissuitesatmaingate.com/, 4555 Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89115. This accommodation is situated adjacent the main gate to the base. This is the closest and cheapest option available. Most attendees stayed here last year. It is an older hotel, and while a few people complained about the hard beds, most found it more than adequate:

1 Bedroom Suite $ 59.00 per night + 12% tax & hotel service fee of $5.00 per day.
2 Bedroom Suite $ 79.00 per night + 12% tax & hotel service fee of $5.00 per day
*Based on availability. The cutoff date for these rates is 5 days before arrival date: April 22, 2012 before 5pm. (rates may change after this time).
*All suites are single/double occupancy. After 2 adults there will be a $10 extra adult fee per room, per night. Under age 18 yrs. there is NO charge.
*The hotel has a 24hr. cancellation policy.
*Check-in time is 3pm & check-out is 12 noon.

The second option is Holiday Inn Express® Las Vegas – Nellis, http://www.hiexpress.com/lv-nellis, 4035 N. Nellis Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89115. This is further away, and more expensive, but is a new, nicer hotel. The rate is $75.00 a night plus 12% Room Occupancy Tax.
