Going to start posting each site in this thread.

The first was the crash site of P-38F s/n 42-12575  southwest of Sandskei├░, Iceland. Sadly, 2nd  Lt. Frederick E. Eichman was killed in the crash after his P-38 experienced an in-flight fire on April 25, 1943.

Interesting that the crash team (WWII) had a rifle and fixed bayonet.  Polar bears? or Nazis?  Dennis
