The 8th Annual Aviation Archaeology and Wreckchasing Symposium will be hosted by AAIR, Aviation Archaeological Investigation and Research the weekend of March 24th & 25th, 2018. The symposium will be held at AAIR's headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

The main goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity for everyone to meet in person and network, and to share the research they have been working on. Authors are encouraged to bring their books/CDs with extra copies to sell. The conference is all about getting together and sharing stories.

All participants are encouraged, but not required, to give a presentation. Presentations will be 15 to 30 minutes long and can be about a project you are working on or have recently completed, a site you have found, or a site you are currently researching but have not yet found.  Microsoft PowerPoint presentations are preferred, but we can accommodate other formats if necessary.

In addition to presentations, the agenda will include a tour of AAIR's office, library, archives and crash lab.

Snacks, beverages, and a Southwest catered lunch will be provided both days. On Saturday evening, AAIR will be hosting a hotdog and hamburger BBQ and social gathering. The cost of the event is $40.00 per person. The symposium will be limited to 30 participants this year, so be sure to register early.

To register, contact Craig Fuller at aair@aviationarchaeology.com or 480-218-8198.

After the conference, there will be an opportunity to join a group visiting a number of crash sites in southwestern Arizona for a few days. Watch for a separate thread discussing the planning for that activity.

Preferred hotels for the conference will be announced shortly.

Won't have an answer on this until it draws closer, would love to attend but we have a lot of trips going around that time, so it depends on finances.

The PHX dates are on my calendar.  You've made an excellent choice of a time of year to be in Arizona.  A possible presentation may be on the artifacts of air navigation facilities in Montana.  (This may be a duplication of an earlier attempt to add this post.)
